What services and activities do you provide?

We provide full pet boarding services, bathing and grooming services, and additional fun stuff for dogs and cats. See our Services Sections for a detailed list of our services.

Where are you located and what are your office hours?

Paw Prince is located on Land O’ Lakes Boulevard (US 41) between Highways 52 and 54 in quiet Land O’ Lakes.

Monday – Friday 7:00 am to 1:00 pm & 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Sunday 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
(the office is closed during holidays)

What do you charge for boarding?

We charge by the day beginning at check-in and check-out is at 1:00 pm, pets picked up after check-out time will be charged a full day. For a more detailed list of our rates refer to our Services and Rates section. Charges do include dry food and dosing of medications if needed.

What vaccines do you require?

We'll need the name of your veterinarian and his/her contact information. We require all pets be current on all vaccinations and be in good health and require to have this information faxed to us ahead of time. We require Rabies and DHL2P-CV annually, Bordetella within 6 months prior to visit for dogs and rabies, FVCRP, and recommend FeLV for cats. Please call your vet's office and have them fax vaccination records to us at 813.995.9897 prior to your arrival to speed up the check-in process.

Do I need to bring my pets food, toys and bedding?

Paw Prince provides all bedding for our guests. If you would like to bring bedding, please make sure the item is not fluff filled and small enough to fit in our wash machine. All bedding is washed prior to pick up. Also clearly mark the item with your pet's name in permanent marker. It’s nice to bring something that smells like home, a t-shirt or towel. Nylabones, Kongs, and favorite toys are accepted.

Does my pet get to go outside, if so, how often?

Every dog visits one of our four large play yards at least twice a day. Every visit is one-on-one with a resort caregiver.

Do you require a bath prior to boarding?

No, but we trust all owners are responsible for the care of their pet.

Are all dog breeds welcome?

Yes, we believe there are no bad breeds only bad owners.

Do you board dogs and cats that are not spayed or neutered?

We do board dogs that are not spayed or neutered, however we do not board any pet that is in heat, pregnant, or nursing.

What are your Holiday Hours for 2012?

Will my dog get to interact with other dogs?

We are currently working on an interactive group play program.

How do I determine the size of accommodation for my pet?

We recommend touring the facility. Great Danes, Great Pyrenees, German Shepards, Mastiffs and all large breeds typically require a double run or a suite.

What if my pet gets sick during their stay?

We will contact you at the emergency numbers you provide and we will contact your local veterinarian to consult and we will transport your pet to the closest veterinarian for appropriate treatment. For vomiting, diarrhea, bladder infections, severe ear infections or any life threatening illness we will take your pet to the nearest veterinarian.

What if my trip is delayed?

Please call us as soon as you know if your travel plans have changed. Have a relative or friend available to pick up your pet if we do not have availability.

What is your cancellation policy?

You must give us 3 business days notice then we will credit your deposit toward your next visit. We do not do refunds.

What is a typical day of boarding for dogs in the indoor/outdoor runs?

6:30 am Guests are awoken and taken to yards for bathroom essentials
8:30 – 9:30 am Breakfast is served
10:00 – 11:00 am Playtime begins
12:00 – 12:30 pm Snack time
1:00 – 4:30 pm Naptime
4:30 pm Time for a quick potty break outside
4:30 – 5:30 pm Dinner is served
6:30 pm Evening Playtime begins
8:30 pm Bedding turndown
9:00 pm Nighttime cookies and Yappy Hour served

Do you administer medications?

Yes. Be sure to bring any special medicines your pet is currently taking along with dosing directions and any special instructions your vet may have provided. However, we cannot board any pet requiring injections. Please provide all medications in pillboxes.

How much is grooming and what does that include?

Grooming costs depend on coat length and condition, how long since your pet's last grooming, and your style or service requests. All grooms include deluxe bath, ear cleaning, nail clipping, and expressing anal glands. Visit the Grooming section of Services and Rates for special spa packages.

When is boarding check-in and check-out?

Check in is available during our office hours:

Check out is 1:00 pm
Based on availability we may ask you to check-in later or check-out sooner so we can make sure the accommodation is ready for our guests.

Forms

In order to provide the best care possible for our visitors, we adhere to certain policies and procedures designed to ensure the safety, protection, and comfort of the animals we serve.

For our new clients, a Guest Registration Form is the first step to joining the Paw Prince family.

Next, we ask each customer to sign our Client Agreement upon boarding his or her pets. If you'd like to read ahead of time, feel free to print, sign, and bring with you.

The final step in joining our family is to read our Rules and Regulations prior to boarding to ensure each pet owner is aware of our policies.
